As a final round up, Pershore Plum plodders have been amazing in the running of this challenge.
Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge, in face of some serious weather, it nearly snowed, maybe next year!! Pretty much all the Pledges are now in and on their way to Maggs, the chosen Charity.
£1676 raised, (with a Government Gift Aid element £1974), and this will include the Club £250 contribution
The Link to the Virgin Giving Site will remain open in January, for any last donations to this worthy cause
Steve Nicoll – has a Medal for everybody who participated, as a small thank you and momento of the challenge. This will be given out either in person, or in the post over the next few weeks, as COVID restrictions allow.
Here is the final collective contribution: 12,813km run, or walked!! collectively, with the U18’s contributing 1150km👏, amazing.
Of the plodders that completed the activity every day, their names were placed in a random generator for the Voucher for Active Foot, and the winner is…….
Julie Bedwell!! 😄
All the final totals are enclosed, once again well done to all who took part, and hopefully we will do it all again in 2021, with maybe more joined up groups this time round!!
About the Charity:
- Maggs gives homeless people somewhere warm and dry to spend the day after sleeping rough.
- Their staff and volunteers prepare healthy, simple food for homeless people, including breakfast and lunch, currently for five days a week.
- They provide clean, dry clothes to homeless people who are in need of them.
Once again, it has been a pleasure to run this event, and I am hope you will agree, all the badgering was worth it
All smiles, and let’s do it all again next year!!
