We as a club take this responsibility seriously and offer and promote the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mental Wellbeing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Highlighting the benefits of positive wellbeing for our runners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try to create and maintain a culture that encourages runners health and wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Physical Wellbeing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Encourage physical health by promoting running activities across the club, supported by Plod Nights and monthly track sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Welfare Officers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We have specific be friendly and approachable Plums who are responsible for our members welfare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure their visibility and availability for members, who maintain confidentiality when listening or addressing any concerns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Creating a Safe Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our Club aims to create an environment where members feel safe and free from harassment, bullying, and abuse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We would look to address issues related to safeguarding, anti-bullying, equality, and disciplinary matters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the England Athletic established Codes of Conduct and procedures for handling welfare concerns or grievances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Club Welfare Officers are Suzanne Price, Ann Hewlett, Elaine Shelley and  Stephen Morris<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>It is everyone\u2019s responsibility to protect the welfare of all those who participate in athletics<\/strong><\/p><cite><br>You should feel safe whilst running with us.&nbsp; If there is any issue which causes you concern or makes you feel uncomfortable then please contact Suzanne Price<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Welfare guidelines are set out by England Athletics to ensure statutory responsibilities of safeguarding are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.englandathletics.org\/welfare\/safeguarding\">https:\/\/www.englandathletics.org\/welfare\/safeguarding<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Promoting the welfare and wellbeing of our club members is essential for creating a positive and supportive environment.
